Hundreds of thousands of people gathered at the Azadi Square in a show of support for presidential candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi.

An Iranian photographer says a group of demonstrators set a fire at a compound of a volunteer militia linked to Iran's Revolutionary Guard. The photographer says as some tried to storm the building, people on the roof fired directly at the demonstrators.

Monday's massive rally followed a decision by Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, to order an investigation on allegations of vote-rigging.
