Special Report: World tackles A/H1N1 flu |
The Chinese mainland confirmed 12 more A/H1N1 flu cases on Tuesday, bringing the mainland's total to 101.
Of the 12 new cases, eight were in Beijing, while there was one each in Tianjin, and the provinces of Fujian, Shandong and Hunan. The patient in Tianjin, a nine-year-old boy, is the city's first confirmed case. The new Fujian case is a two-year-old girl, who was infected through local transmission.
Also on Tuesday, Hong Kong confirmed four more cases, increasing the total number of confirmed cases in the S.A.R to 45. And Taiwan health authorities have reported three new cases, bringing the island's total number of infections to 24.
