The identities of the nine Chinese nationals on board Air France flight 447 have been confirmed.

Six of the victims worked for Benxi Iron and Steel Group, including the vice manager of the Group. They were on a business scouting trip in Brazil. The other three were a Chinese person seeking to immigrate to Brazil from eastern China, an employee of the Huawei Technologies Corporation and a 35-year-old male scientist from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The two companies and the Academy have set up emergency work teams to comfort the employees' family members and help them travel to France.
