Air France Chief promises help for victims' family

A massive search is underway, but all aboard are feared dead. The director-general of Air France has promised the airline will help the families of the victims.

Pierre-Henri Gourgeon, Director-General, Air France, said, "This is a catastrophe, undoubtedly, and we have lost an aircraft with 228 people on board. We don't have any information about what was going on. The only things which appears after is that we had a succession of information, in a short period of time, which were just things that a number of equipment components of the aircraft, of the (inaudible) part of the aircraft, were going in fault or were short of information."
