The patient in southern Guangdong Province came into contact with the province's third case through her work. Medical experts say the public shouldn't panic.

The patient, a 24-year-old female, was believed to be infected by a 28-year-old Chinese-American man whose case was also confirmed on Friday.

The man began to show symptoms after he arrived in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, from New York last Sunday.

On Monday and Tuesday, he and his girlfriend spent two days with workers at a wedding photography studio in Guangzhou for bridal photos. The infected female worked as a beautician for the couple.
