Hong Kong confirmed two new A/H1-N1 flu cases on Saturday.

One is a 20-year-old Hong Kong woman studying in the US. She arrived home on flight CX831 from New York. Her seat number was 31-K.

She had developed symptoms before boarding the plane on Wednesday. She wore a mask during the flight.

The other patient is a 53-year-old man from the Chinese mainland. He arrived on flight UA869 from San Francisco and his seat number was 50-H. He showed no symptoms before boarding.

Both of them tested for high temperature at the airport and were sent directly to hospital.

Health authorities say airport inspection measures are proving effective. They repeated their advisory to overseas students with symptoms not to fly home. They are also tracking passengers who were seated near the two patients.
