Laurence Brahm calls himself a searcher.

In 1981, Laurence came to China from America. That was the first step of his journey in China. A lawyer, an economic consultant, an owner of a courtyard restaurant, Laurence Brahm witnessed and wrote books on China's national economic development and reform.

At the end of 2001, China gained access to the World Trade Organization. It was then that Laurence Brahm was determined to put an end to his studies on China's economic mold. In 2002, He put up the shutters on his legal firm and consulting company and started his journey to search for Shangri-la. Now he is enjoying his exploration in Tibet. Though his film and book “Searching for Shangri-la” are now complete, he’s still searching, and his steps have not slowed down.
