Tibet, a beautiful and unique place, attracts many tourists from all over the world. They may have traveled through Tibet in different ways, but what they have in common is they all take away unforgettable memories.

When Chen Jing went to Tibet for the first time in 2005, she trekked through Motuo, a county in southeast Tibet with no highway or roads linking it to the outside world. She encountered many challenges on the way, but the rewards were worth it - memories of the beautiful landscape, and friendship with travel companions and local Tibetans.

Jia Liming first went to Tibet as a backpacker in 1997. Now she provides travel services to tourists. Soft backpacking is a way of traveling that she and her colleagues advocate – an alternative that provides a more comfortable option for elder tourists and people who prefer a little more comfort.
