To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China, Peter Woo Kwong-ching, Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), was invited to “Up-Close” to share the stories of his last ten years in Hong Kong.
Well-known as the Chairman of Wheelock and Company Ltd. and The Wharf (Holdings) Ltd., Peter Woo is the son-in-law of famous Hong Kong shipping magnate Sir Yue Kong Pao. However, when he agreed to do this interview, it was to discuss his life from the perspective of the work he is doing for HKTDC rather than talking about his business and personal life. Although we could agree that the interview would focus on trade, our studio audience is always a wild card, and we could not be assured that they would not ask him a personal question.
