Welcome to travelogue I am Chen Lei. In this program we will show you a modern city of China, Shenzhen, in Guangdong province.

This represent the new lifestyle in China today . Theme park is one of the best attractions in Shenzhen. Shenzhen Dalongwan beach also provides beautiful sunshine and all kinds of sports. It's the best place to experience modern life in China and it's paradise for shopping. In the following program, you will experience today's China, the new life in China.

Shenzhen is located in the very south of guangdong province, situated on the border of Kowleen with Hong Kong to its south.

Chinese contemporary art and music has been well developed in Shenzhen. The modern stage shows arranged in the theme parks attract a selection of gifted dancers and musicians. There is a saying that shenzhen is the capital of 'center stage' bringing together the most beautiful girls in the nation. With large investments and unrestricted architecture stage design, shenzhen provides visitors with incredible entertainment shows and colorful nightlife activities.

The population of the city is about 8 million, with just half of its residents being legally registered and permanent. The remainder are a mixture of businessman, labor workers, entertainment employees from Mainland China and commuters from Hong Kong, all here in an attempt to get a share in the Special Economic Zone鈥檚 wealth.

The Window of the World

The Window of the World is a very popular tourist attraction for Shenzhen. It displays miniature models of 118 world legendary tourist spots. Most commonly known are the perfect replicas of the famous Eiffel Tower, The leaning tower of Pisa, stone church of Germany and the White House of America. Only 3 dollars people can travel all over the world.

The park opened in 1994, and covers an area of 480,000 square meters, the total investment of which is 650 million of RMB.

The host Chen Lei said, "I am the Giant from the Colonial chacedual, but not from the original one in Germany, which was built in 1248, but in the Window of the World. And this is my servant. Servant, please lead your master out of this crowd. Yes, Master!"

"Just about two years ago, I sat down in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. took a picture. Guess what, at the Window of the World; I am sitting down in front of the Lincoln Memorial again, taking another picture. I really miss that. I want to go back. At my next step, I will go to the White House to see Mr. Bush, a duplicate one."

At the windows of the world, visitors can also participate in numerous thrilling activities. For those of you who like leaving your stomach behind the log flume were a great ride and the in door ski slop is well equipped and loads of fun. In addition, you can sit back and enjoy the space world tour of the mysterious universe in the newly developed theater. Needless to say, everything here is state of the art.

Every evening from 7:30 pm, the global theater performs a massive stage performance. It engages more than 500 talented actors who come from all over the world. It is a combination of music, dance, fashion, and acrobats, performed with all the light and sound effects you can imagine. You can tell that its one of those performances that would take more than a year to compile and I' m told the cost of such a setting is more than 80 million RMB. As a symbol, there are total of 108 columns around the stage and 1,680 square meter of carving wall surround it. There is a saying that Shenzhen attracts many beautiful girls, most of them are on this stage.

They end the performance with a massive firework demonstration that lights up the stage, empowering Shenzhen and giving the show a great finale.

Folk Culture Village in Shenzhen represents different life style of different minority groups in China. In the theme park, they even built real size buildings to represent architectures of different ethnic groups.

China splendid features the Palace of Beijing and a great numbers of historical scenes such as the Great Wall and China Southern Silk Town.

There are so many things are going on in the theme park. There are total of 24 minority groups. They all have different dancing and singing styles. Here behind me is another group. Their specialties are waiving their hair (dancing), especially those girls.

Wazu is an ethnic group inherited from south China that somehow has many similarities with Yee and Miao groups. For many years, Wazu have been living by the river, there talents lie in fishing and water activities and singing and dancing is simply a wonderful past time for this community.

It is beautiful here right by the lake. I got this grilled fish dish. I have the beautiful girls and wonderful guys singing the wonderful songs and serve the best food. Later on, I will follow them to their village experiencing the local special life, but first I am going to eat my fish.

What you see here is the Urger community from the decoration that you can tell. And the beautiful girl is playing Dutar. Dutar is a traditional instrument for girls. And here is called VIP house. I love the music.

The Urger minority, another musical and energetic ethnic group, lives on the high plateau spread out in the far west of China next to Russia. The hospitality of Urger is vivid and appealing.

What you see over here is Dai ethnic group. In Dai ethnic group everybody knows how to dance. Singing and dancing is natural from the bottom of their hearts. Everybody is born with it. Everybody in the village does not matter the age, sex they just know it.

There are many other performances presented by different ethnic groups such as the Water Festival of Thai. Thai girls dance like water and the boys support the girls like strong tree trunks. The Peacock is the symbol of good luck.

As we travel around in Shenzhen, there is no question that this city holds unique beauty you can't miss the scene. Wherever women live, there's fashion. Modern fashion shows choreographed with stage performance are offered to the audience every night at the Window of the World. Visitors can not only spot various Chinese ethnic designs, but also have the opportunity to observe international trend. The show features more than 24 minority culture domestically and few notable global highlights. If you are lucky like me, you can also participate in the show as a guest of the wedding ceremony. My pretend bride is cute and her exchange gift is hot and spicy.

Happy valley

The host Chen Lei said, "Welcome to the Happy Valley. Do you want to try some extreme sport? Cover over here, it's a lots of fun. Look at those guys, you know what? It looks easy but its really hard, trust me. I am going to try it, I am going to try it myself just like that. Okay."

Extreme sport provides more exciting moments for our young visitors. Professional players are from America and Canada and bring new street skills to our Chinese audience. However the Chinese traffic controllers may not be too impressed if the local youth were to bike on the street in American style

Happy valley is definitely one of the best spots for a family weekend out. You can enjoy the exciting rides as long as you remember not to eat too much breakfast beforehand.

The little toot train here is provided by the theme park. It is really amusing. They play a little music relaxing music. The train goes by and passes by all these attraction spots. There are all kinds of themes here. There are mountains; water houses are all built up for fun. There is a story theme and games are built into it. It's like a Disney land, basically.

There are many thrilling rides in the happy valley. If you like to challenge your partner or your kids' stomache, this is the perfect time to do so.

Old town of General's Mention

Shen zhen has more than 1600 years of history. It was a fishery town before 1972 when china government initiated the city as the first example of Special Economic Development zone in the country.

Peng Cheng is the former name of Shenzhen. It is kept well in its original surroundings through so many years of reform. General Lai, who was once a war hero was the leader in Guangdong province, protecting the south gate of China and his residents still exists today. His family still live in the inherited house which is a glorious mansion consisting of three large courtyards with many side rooms for the guards and servants. The decoration in front of the gate, displaying well-kept original architecture, goes some way to reflect the respect that General Lai has received from the community.

Due to the economic changes nowadays in China, many residents have moved out of the old town. In the meantime, people from faraway villages moved in for new jobs. However, the lifestyle has not changed much here.

Just about 80 kilometers away from the modern commercial district, sits a small town called Peng Cheng that resembles the past of Shenzhen.

Every fish man is taking a break right now. Just about a half hour later all the boats you see here are going to go to the deep sea to start their daily routine. I was told that every boat here could catch 5,000-kilogram fish everyday. What you see over here is the fish was caught yesterday. They all get dried already.

Peng Cheng has about 600 years of history and the local villagers annually hold festivals to celebrate its past. The Lion dance is the highlight at the end of the parade.

If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of city life, try to get away from the busy commercial street. You can definitely come to Dapeng beach enjoy the beautiful sunshine and play with these toys.

Sailing on the ocean is my best experience during this trip. I not only learned how to play with the sails, but also open up my mind of being alone on the sea.

The local villagers claim that this part of the ocean is very clean and clear. It's best for diving, and on the bottom of the sea divers can pick up very weird items.

History recall of Minsk

The Minsk Marine ship presents a sincere military march daily on the platform. The 30 soldiers team act like one union. This professionally trained military team, have at least 10 years of experience and used to share the pride in Chinas largest march competition.

Made in Russia in 1978 the Minsk Marine Ship is the fifth largest marine ship in the world and used to play an important role in the Russian Navy. It was fully equipment with powerful weapons including missiles, rockets and a warplane. At the end of 1991, the Russian military changed its power overnight and Minsk services were abolished.

The one time Russian lethal weapon is no longer a threat to anyone. Its mechanical beauty and powerful setting has now become a theme park in Shenzhen. Today the new owner to recollect the history has coordinated many entertaining projects such as stage dance, indoor theater and museum.
