Qingdao, is certainly not a secret summer retreat, at least not in China. Known for its mild weather, clear turquoise water golden sandy beaches, Qingdao attracts thousands of visitors every summer. In fact the tug of the 'perfect summer' memory is so strong, many keep coming back like migrators.


Bordering Jiaozhou Bay and the yellow sea from three sides,with more than 800km long coastal line Qingdao is the biggest ice free harbor in Shandong Peninsula. Since been chosen as the host-to-be of 2008 Olympics sailing programs, Qingdao is noticeable spurred with extra enthusiasm and local pride.

Harbor cruises offer service city views by day or night, you can choose from a few carrier, having short and long cruise around Qingdao harbor!


Qingdao coast offers some of the best recreational opportunities available -- swimming, fishing, boating, parasailing, boardsailing, and much more. There are six beaches within Qingdao city where you can enjoy the sun and fun!

You can easily deceive yourself into being in a mini European Union 鈥with such a large variety of architecture styles. According to a typical urban legend, an Anderson fairytale looking house, known as 'Princess house', in early 20th century, was built by a devoted adorer to a Danish princess as gift and the adorer tried to persuade her coming to live in Qingdao. Sadly the stone-hearted princess never came.
