With nature at its most numinous, Mountain Wudang does looks like a fairyland where immortals live behind these clouds.

Also known as 'tai he', mountain of supreme harmony, Wudang is considered to be the perfect place for Taoist practitioners to live a secluded life, free from worldly worries, and to pursue the ultimate way of being. Tao!

Located 180 km north of Wuhan, Hubei province, central China. As the center of Taoism and known for its stunning natural beauty, Wudang has been visited by Taoist pilgrims and nature lovers from all over China as early as 400BC. In 1994, Wudang was added to the world Cultural Heritage list.

Since taiji and fengshui made their way into English vocabulary, the concept of Tao or notion of 'yin yang' is more familiar to the western world. Based on Taoist Yinyang philosophy, Wudang Kunfu has been developed into a comprehensive martial art system that stresses on both physical health and mental well- being.

There are three types of people coming to Wudang: Taoist pilgrims, Wudang kungfu venerators and those simply come for the scenery and architecture.
