Lakers bounce back, rip Rockets 118-78

Results from the NBA Play-offs. The Los Angeles Lakers bounced back from their Game 4 flop, routing the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night for a 3-2 lead in the Western Conference semifinals.

Midway through the 1st quarter, Aaron Brooks assisted Shane Battier for a three pointer. Rockets opened up a six-point lead.

Later in the quarter, Kobe Bryant led the Lakers back. He penetrated and scored on a reverse layup. Score tied at 18-all.

Lakers led by eight with seconds ticking down in first quarter, Jordan Farmarr hit a buzzer, beating three. Lakers up by 11 after the first quarter.

Early in the 2nd quarter, Lamar Odom came off the bench for a second-chance layup. Lakers led by 16.

Lakers next possession, Pau Gasol drove in for a lay-up.

Later in the quarter, Los Angeles up by 20. Bryant scored on a layup. (He scored 26 points.)

Early in the 4th quarter, Lakers were in front by 30. Bryant sat out the entire quarter as the Lakers won by 40 points.
