At an executive committee meeting last month, the ICC decided to strip Pakistan as a co-host of the 2011 World Cup due to the security concerns in the country.
Pakistan along with neighbors India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh were to due to co-host the tournament. The Pakistan cricket board decided to go on the offensive and is going to send legal papers to the ICC. At the grass roots level, people are concerned that the sport will suffer unless the rest of the cricket world help out.
Muhammad Naeem, Cricket Enthusiast, said, "The world should help us. Mishaps can take place at any time, cricket will finish here in Pakistan. It doesn't mean the ICC shouldn't cooperate with us."
