RIO DE JANEIRO, May 1 (Xinhua) -- Both the head coach and the assistant coach of the Brazilian national soccer team announced on Friday that they will be attending the state finals of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.

Dunga, the national team's head coach, will attend the Sao Paulo state finals between Corinthians and Santos. Juninho, an assistant coach, will observe the match between Flamengo and Botafogo in the Rio de Janeiro state finals.

Corinthians, with Ronaldo on the front lines, beat Santos last week 3-1. Ronaldo shined, scoring two goals of his own. Behind support of Romario and Brazilian President Lula, Dunga will contemplate adding Ronaldo to the national team's roster.

Jorginho will watch the game between Flamengo and Botafogo, looking for any outstanding talent. Due to last week's 2-2 draw between two teams, the winner of the finals on Sunday, May 3, will decide this year's Rio de Janeiro state champion.

Dunga is looking to make a possible list of players for Brazil's upcoming 2010 World Cup qualifiers. The coach is expected to release his roster by May 21.

The Brazilians will face Uruguay and Paraguay in the next rounds of play on June 6 and 10, respectively. The roster will also be valid for Brazil's participation in the Confederations Cup, held in South Africa on June 14 - June 28.
