FC Seoul opened the scoring in the 24th minute. Park Yong-ho met Kim Jin-kyu's corner, but his header was cleared out by Shandong defender Jiao Zhe. The referee ruled that the ball had passed the goal line before the clearance and the home side took a 1-0 lead.
Shandong battled back and drew level after 79 minutes. Enrique Cichero headed home a corner kick from Aleksandar Zivkovic for the equalizer, making the final score 1-1.
