Chinese hurdling star Liu Xiang says his recovery and training are going well as he prepares for China's National Games this October.
The former world and Olympic champion is now in his hometown of Shanghai for regular recovery training. His program is not very intense, and he's currently focusing on physical strength. According to coach Sun Haiping, Liu Xiang will make his first appearance since his injury last August in either the world championships, the Shanghai Golden G-P, or National Games.
Liu Xiang said, "I'm not sure about the precise time of my comeback. But I will definitely step onto the track again this year. To me, the National Games will be the most important. I competed in the games when I was 18 years old, this year will be the third one for me. I don't want to miss it."
