title in three years after powering his way over Andy Murray at
the BNP Paribas Open on Sunday.

The Spaniard broke Murray in the fourth game of the first set. The world number one's low, hard groundstrokes gave him an edge in the gusty conditions over Murray, whose game relied more on pace and a mix of shots.

In the sixth game, Murray was again struggling to hold serve. But the Australian Open champion took full advantage and ran the Brit all around the court before lobbing it over his head for a 5-1 lead. Nadal won the first set 6-1 and kept his foot on the accelerator in the second and found himself ahead 4-2.

Then Nadal saved one of the longest rallies of the final for the match point and won the match 6-1, 6-2 in just under 81 minutes.
