BEIJING, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- After 12 days of burning in the National Stadium in north Beijing, the flame of the Beijing 2008 Paralympics was doused on Wednesday night, after the Games were closed by International Paralympic Committee President Philip Craven and the Paralympic flag passed to London, host city of the 2012 Games.
