BEIJING, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- The United States claimed the women's eight rowing title at the Beijing Olympics on Sunday, clocking six minutes and 5.34 seconds in the final.

The Netherlands took the silver in 6:07.22, while the Romania got the bronze in 6:07.25.
