Special Report: 2008 Beijing Olympic GamesBEIJING, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- Australia clocked in a world record timing to win the women's 4x200m freestyle relay gold at the Beijing Olympic Games here on Thursday.

The Australian quartet timed in 7:44.31, beating the previous mark of 7:50.09 set up by the United States in March, 2007.
China took the silver in 7:45.93 and the United States to second and third 7:46.33, all inside the previous world mark.
