In Vienna, football fans of Spain were ecstatic as they saw their team become European champions for the first time since 1964.

Thousands of Spain and Germany football fans packed into Vienna's fan zone to watch the final. Despite some minor incidents, when fans were seen throwing bottles, things were quite peaceful in the fan zone, with supporters singing, chanting and waving the flags of their chosen country.

When the final whistle was blown, Spain lifted their first major international trophy since 1964 and set off long-awaited Spanish celebrations in the Austrian capital.
