Oliver Bierhoff said, "Big thanks goes out to our fans in Germany. There's a lot of support and enthusiasm in Germany which we through our friends and families experience by the television reports. This support helped us throughout the whole tournament."
He admitted that Spain have been the best team in the tournament so far.
Oliver Bierhoff said, "Looking at how that tournament developed, and looking at these great performances of the Spanish team, a bookmaker had to give the Spanish team a higher ranking than ours. But this role is not a problem for us, one could see that during the match versus Portugal."
