Special Report: 2008 European ChampionshipsArsenal manager Arsene Wenger shared his views on the 2008 European Championship in the Swiss city of Basel as the competition enters its final stages. He said that each team's superior mental strength has helped Germany, Turkey, Russia and Spain secure their places in the semi-finals of the tournament.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said, "What is the main information we got from the quarter-final is that nearly all the teams are at the same level. What made the difference is the mental aspect of the teams. That's why most of them, who were not favourites, won the games. Because that kind of little difference, less pressure, more something to go for, more desire made the difference. And the teams who played with that weight of the pressure have all moved out."
