Both countries will face each other for the final berth on Saturday. The Brazilian team won a bronze medal at the women's World Cup in China last year after losing to Germany in the semi-finals. Marta Vieira da Silva, better known as Marta, is confident her team will win. She says all her 18 teammates are as competitive as herself and therefore hard to beat.

Ghana failed to clinch an automatic place from the African qualifiers on March 15 following a 2-0 away defeat to Nigeria. Ghana and Nigeria are the only African nations in the world's top 50 sides.

Head coach Mumuni Gamel believes his team has a chance to beat the Brazilians. Qualifying will start two days before the official opening of the Games on 8 August, and conclude on the final day of the Olympics on 24 August.
