Azerbaijan maintained their one hundred per cent records in the third round of matches at the women's World Hockey Olympic qualifying tournament in Baku on Tuesday. They remain top of the six-team table courtesy of a 3-0 victory over Belarus.

There was a goalless first half in match three as Belarus managed to thwart the hosts and table toppers Azerbaijan. But the Belarusians couldn't maintain their challenge, Myungsoon Mammadova making the breakthrough in a crowded circle in the 51st minute. Three minutes later, Azerbaijan added a second. Captain Dilfuza Mirzaliyeva's effort following a penalty corner was well saved by Yulia Lashuk. Liana Nuriyeva eventually stroked it home after a follow-up shot by Zarifahon Zeynalova rebounded back off the crossbar. The tournament's top scorer added to her tally in the 62nd minute to make it 3-0, which is how it stayed until the end.
