The other semi-final match was between reigning champions Egypt and COTE D'IVORE in Kumasi. Egypt took the lead in the 12th minute, with Amr Zaki scoring the first of two goals just past the hour.

Abdukader Keita pulled a goal back for the Ivorians a minute later, but Zaki's second, plus an injury time fourth from Mohamed Aboutreika, saw the Pharaohs through.

They will now meet Cameroon in Accra on 10th February.
