They claimed a 3-nil win over Sudan in Group C on Saturday.

27 minutes into the match, Sudan goalkeeper Akram Salem brought down Hosni Abd Rabou inside the box. Hosni converted the penalty to give the Pharaohs a 1-0 lead.

Egypt doubled their lead through substitute Mohamed Aboutrika in the 77th minute.

Then 7 minutes before the whistle, Aboutrika's spectacular solo effort sealed the emphatic 3-nil victory for Egypt.
