Manager Bjarne Riis of the CSC Team was missing in action during their media day for the 2007 Tour de France.

Riis, who admitted to using banned substances during his 1996 Tour victory, chose to stay away from this year's race, which peddles into action on Saturday in central London.

CSC's President of European Operations, Guy Hains, sat in his place.

The Dane's revelations, and subsequent absence, have somewhat overshadowed the team's preparations.
