The Beijing Olympic Games International Forum has been held in the city's Renmin University of China. Former IOC President, Juan Antonio Samaranch was there to accept an Honorary Professorship from the university.

The two-day forum mainly discussed the Humanistic concept and social value of the Olympic games. Former IOC president Juan Antonio Samaranch was present. As an old friend of the Chinese people, Samaranch was awarded an Honorarium, as professor of Renmin University. Samarach has helped with the Chinese Olympic movement. In 2001, when China won the bid for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games,it was Samaranch who made the announcement. And Samaranch is quite confident about the success of the Beijing Olympics.
