China lost to Thailand 1-0 in a friendly held in Bangkok Wednesday. The friendly is a warm-up for the 2007 Asian Cup, which kicks off in July.
Zhu Guanghu's team went to Bangkok for the friendly as preparation for the 2007 Asian Cup.
China's National Football Team haven't lost to Thailand in 14 years. Thailand's style is similar to Malaysia's. Since China will be in the same group with Malaysia in the Asian Cup, it was a good chance for Zhu Guanghu to test his players in a friendly with Thailand.
China were without top players Li Weifeng and Du Wei, who couldn't take part in the match due to injuries.
Thailand led in the first half, thanks to their first goal in the 40th minute.
China missed several chances to level the score in the second half.
They will face the US in their next warm-up on the 2nd of June.
