Mikaele Pesamino completed a first-half hat-trick to give the Samoans a 27-nil lead at the break. But the second half saw the makings of a Fiji comeback. Simione Saravanua set up a thrilling finish to bring Fiji within five points. But Samoa held on to win 27-22.
