Olympic cycling champion Tyler Hamilton has been unveiled as a member of the Tinkoff Credit Systems team in Rome. He returns to the sport following a two-year ban for blood doping which ended in September.
On Tuesday, Hamilton confirmed the news that he had signed a two-year contract with Tinkoff Credit Systems. He also revealed that he has plans to defend his Olympic title in Beijing next year. The 2004 Olympic gold medallist tested positive for a blood transfusion at the 2004 Tour of Spain.
Shortly after that, he was fired by his team, Phonak. Hamilton's two-year doping ban ended in September last year.
