Special Report:   2008 Beijing Olympics

There are less than twenty months to go before the Beijing Olympic Games. Olympic partners have been gearing up to compete for shares of the market as the new year began.

As one of the top partners of the Beijing Olympics, Coca-Cola launched its Olympic Composite Logo in Beijing on Wednesday.

The designers took the inspiration from a traditional Chinese art - a soaring kite. The surrounding cloud depicts China's rich cultures.

The IOC and Coca Cola have had a partnership since 1928.

By the end of 2006, 11 companies worldwide had signed contracts with Beijing organizers under the Olympic Partner Programme to sponsor the 2008 Games and market their brands.
