China's world gymnastics champion Yang Wei has successfully defended his all-around title, beating his opponents in the final to complete his double following the team event victory. Meanwhile He Ning grabbed the women's individual all-around title.

The men's all-around final remained close until the third apparatus,the rings.

Reigning all-around world champion Yang Wei gave a stunning performance to regain the lead, and he never looked back.

He then displayed a near-perfect routine in the vault to finish with the highest score of the night, 16 point six points.

The 26-year-old maestro showed consistency in the final two events before claiming his second all-around gold at the Asiad with a comfortable lead of more than two points.

This is Yang Wei's second title in Doha following the team event, and his first major international win since the World Championships earlier this year.

Meanwhile in the women's individual all-around, China's He Ning had an excellent performance.

She didn't gain any advantage in the vault and just finished in fourth place.

Then in the uneven bars, her beautiful performance helped her to jump to third place.

It was He Ning's near-perfect routine in the balance beam that helped her seized the leading place. He Ning finally claimed the title after the floor exercise while another Chinese Zhou Zhuoru took the silver.
