The fifth "National Skiing Series" will begin next month. The announcement was made at a news conference on Monday.

Organizers said the event will be held in Beijing and four different provincess-- Hebei, Heilongjiang, Liaoning and Jilin. The event will feature alpine skiing and snowboarding. Organizers hope the event will attract more people this year leading up to the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Hebei Province will host the first leg of the series.
