Netherlands: Rioters attack Chinese embassy

The Chinese Embassy in the Netherlands says more than 150 Xinjiang separatist rioters have attacked the embassy. The violence began Sunday afternoon with a demonstration in front of the embassy, and soon turned into a well-prepared and organized violent attack.

Rioters threw stones and eggs,burnt the Chinese national flag, and attempted to break into the embassy. Some of the rioters were armed with knives. The violence caused great damage to the embassy building. The Chinese embassy has made strong representation with the Dutch Foreign Ministry for its failure to provide security.
