Voting has started in polling stations across Iran in the country's presidential election.

As conservative and reformist camps square off against one another, analysts say this year's presidential race is likely the most tense political event that the country has ever experienced.

The color of green signifies support for Mir Hossein Mousavi.

Many of these people believe only Mousavi can bring change to the Islamic Republic.

Isfahan Resident, said, "Mirhossein Mousavi, he is not just what we want, but he is better than the other candidates and he can at least change the situation."

Isfahan Resident, said, "I definitely will vote for Mousavi because he is going to come and change this horrible situation, this horrible condition because we are in a situation where we are going to lose everything."

Once prime minister, and now leading reformist presidential candidate Mousavi says he hasn't changed in his 20 year absence from politics.
