Mexico City held the 19th Olympic Games in 1968. Mexico City lays claim to being the oldest continually-inhabited city in the Western Hemisphere. As such, it has an outstanding cultural heritage. These days, however, it’s better known as one of the biggest modern metropolises in the world.
In today’s programme, we’ll meet an old friend of China, Bora Milutinovic, who was the coach of China’s national football team from 2000 to 2002. He spent more than 30 years living in Mexico City. And we’ll also learn about two of Mexican’s favourite sports; professional wrestling and cliff diving.
Now, it turns out that, apart from football, Bora Milutinovic is a fan of another sport – wrestling. In this, he has something in common with millions of people in Mexico, where wrestling has a long history.
