Britain is the country where football was born, and London has no fewer than 13 professional football clubs. On top of that, there are any number of amateur teams. For most fans, London is the one and only home of football.
Football is, of course, the most popular sport in the world today. However, such enormous popularity seems almost inconceivable, when you consider how it all started.
