March 22, 2009 is the 17th World Water Day, and the week from March 22 to 28, 2009 is the 22nd Chinese Water Week. The United Nations identifies “Transboundary Water---- Shared Water, Shared Opportunities” as the theme for the 2009 World Water Day, and “implement scientific outlook on development for conserving and protecting water resources” is acknowledged as the theme of commemorating World Water Day and carrying out Chinese Water Week in China in 2009.
