Liu Ligong is a graduate of Beijing Dance Academy. At the age of 24 he left Beijing for Jinan. It was love that made him go.

Also because of love, he gave up dancing and opened a small restaurant.
However, he never completely forgot the Beijing Dance Academy, where he had spent 12 years as a student.
Two years later, Liu Ligong was facing two major changes in his life: firstly, he was called back to his alma mater; secondly, his wife wanted a divorce.
Back at the dance academy, Liu Ligong was asked to train two students who would participate in the national Peach & Plum Cup Dance Competition. It was a test not just for the students, but for their teacher as well. Their success would determine whether he would be offered a full-time position at the Beijing Dance Academy.
