It seems few would expect the summit meeting between President Bush and his Russian counterpart Mr. Vladmir Putin might produce any breakthroughs over the US concerns. This meeting which is to take place in Bradislava in Slovakia later on Thursday is clouded with quarrels about alleged problems of Russia鈥檚 democracy and human rights. US media says that Russia is not ready to accept the finger pointing.

Can the two sides find any common ground and mend fences at the meeting? Who is needed more badly in the post-9.11 era, Russia or America to address each other security concerns?
