The Kyoto Protocol entered into force on Feb 16th, 2005. This international agreement has forced emission standard which are on the average 5.2%lower than 1990 levels. As of now, there are 147 countries that are signatories to the agreement and they admit a total of 6.1% of the world green house emissions.
