In recent years, the area has been renovated to become one of the coolest places in the city to hang out. It blends art galleries, workshops and stores. On Friday, the Liuli Gongfang Museum signed to open in Tianzifang.

Five areas around the Shanghai World Expo garden in Puxi District have been designated for the visitors to experience the city's attractions. Tianzifang is one. The Liuli Gongfang Museum, which is set to open before the expo, will display the classical works of its founders, Yang Hui-shan and Chang Yi. The two left the Taiwan film industry and started Liuli Gongfang in 1987.

As more and more cultural and art institutions take up residence in Tianzifang, the district is providing a panorama of China's cultural and creative industry to the whole world.
