A series of films will be released to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Repulic of China. Ten films were introduced to the media earlier this week.

The cast and crew of "Nanking Nanking" including director Lu Chuan, producer Tan Hong and leads Liu Ye, Fan Wei, Qin Lan and Jiang Yiyan showed up for Tuesday's press conference. The film, which focuses on the 1937 Nanjing Massacre, will hit the cinemas across China on April 22nd. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Nanjing Massacre Memorial.

The other nine films are: "Iron Man" about Wang Jinxi, a model worker in 1960s; "Big River" about the construction of the Xinjiang Autonomous Region; "Deng Jiaxian", a noted Chinese scientist; "Yuan Longping" who developed the first hybrid rice in 1970s; "Battle in Sichuan" about the liberation of Southwest China; the documentary "People are the Top Priority, "about relief work after the Wenchuan earthquake; "Pan Zuoliang," honored by President Hu Jintao as a model grassroot Communist Party member; and "The 1977 National College Entrance Exam."
