From the earliest written forms to one of the very latest. Bookworms in Shanghai will soon be able to realize their dream of pocketing an entire library. On Friday, the Shanghai Library initiated a service to lend digital books, which aims to make reading much more convenient.

Bookworms in Shanghai will soon be able to realize their dream of  pocketing an entire library.

The first batch of readers to try the service arrived at the library on Friday morning. With a portable reader, people can download Chinese books from the library and read them any time and anywhere they wish. The service will open to the public after its official launch in April.
