Deng Xiuhua is studying to be a certified public accountant. She wasn't able to find the book she needs until she searched on the regional net of the Jilin Libraries Union. It was in the library of Northeast Normal University.
Deng said, "Usually, university libraries are only open to the students, not us. But now, the librarian says a card of the Jilin Libraries Union can change that. And it's easy to get the card. Now I've found the book. It's very convenient."
The card gives access to 10 libraries in Jilin province and 8 libraries at universities and research centers of the province. Over 20 million books are on the platform. And people in rural areas can also take advantage of the rich information resource.
