As a martial artist, Jacky Wu has been in training since the age of six under acclaimed Master Wu Bin, who also happens to have been actor Jet Lee's mentor in the martial arts. Jacky Wu is Beijing born and bred. He won top honours repeatedly in national kung fu tournaments before heading for the movies. He appeared in films like the Tai Chi Masters, and Twin Missions. In his latest screen endeavor, Jacky Wu not only took the film's leading role, but he also directed. Co-starring, is Wu's old screen pal Ronald Cheng. The two previously cooperated in Fatal Contact in 2006.

Ronald Cheng, Actor of "Wolf Fang", said, "There were a lot of martial arts sequences for my part. But Wu's so good I can't beat him. I learned that from my failed attempt in Fatal Contact. So this time I chose to let him beat me. "

The film is headed for another confrontation off screen. Wolf Fang will hit the cinemas around the same time as Chen Kaige's "Forever Enthralled". The question remains, will the amassed martial arts skills of Wolf Fang, have a bigger box office punch than the biographical film about one of Peking Operas greatest stars?
