In Thailand's capital city of Bangkok, about 100 local students got together with three Chinese teachers from Tianjin. The Chinese language students were treated to some teaching about Chinese folk art. They have learned paper cutting - for window decoration and the delightful shadow boxing.

In Britain, a photo exhibition about the Beijing Olympics opened at Saint George Middle School. Photographs and their descriptions showcased details of the Olympic Torch Relay and the various Olympic venues in Beijing. Students and teachers were invited to a documentary about the Beijing Olympics. The principal of the school applauded the exchange. He called for more communication in the future. And he expressed the hope that the Chinese teaching will enhance the stature of the school.
